After Nishinomiya, we went to Cinquecento in Osaka where we were under the impression that food and drink could be had for the low low price of ¥500! Alas, only the latter was true, since they were out of all food except popcorn which, wait, no, they were out of that too. But the drinks were good. Cinquecento specializes in martini’s and all drinks are ¥500, which is a pretty good deal.
After a round of drinks, we went to a curry place around the corner to get some food, decided that there wasn’t any objection to staying out until 5am (the trains don’t normally run from ~0030 – ~0500)
There were lots of interesting people to talk to at Cinquecento and a few familiar faces from Zerro. There was a Brazilian who suggested some other clubs and a hookah lounge, A couple of British guys looking for a Drum and Bass joint, another British gentleman who was fairly boshed and very taken with Lucas and Danny’s Sherlock Holmes pipes. The latter fellow was also very interested in getting us to go chat with some of the Japanese girls at bar. Eventually, he succeeded in getting me to follow him over to a group of people in the corner of the room where I started talking to a woman named Yasuko about anything and everything related to America and some things related to Japan
When the bar was getting ready to close, we exchanged emails and headed our separate ways. Lucas and Danny had left about half an hour before I did and I took a different subway route to get back to Umeda, but when we got off at Mukonoso, it turned out that we had all gotten on the same car XP
